Drummondville, May 14, 2020 - It is immediately after the press conference that CIUSSS Maurice Centre-du-Quebec drove away with its brand new Micro Bird minibus, given that it will operational starting tomorrow May 15, 2020.

Girardin worked very hard and within a short timeframe to ensure that the minibus be ready on time for the Mobile Clinic' start.

This initiative from the CIUSSS, in partnership with Girardin, the City of Drummondville, Ste-Croix/Heriot Foundation and Shadow Graphics will contribute to increase Covid-19 testing.

The minibus, that is equipped as a miniature lab on wheels, will drive with on board a team of health-trained staff coming from several specializations, and will visit the socio-sanitary area of Mauricie, Centre-du-Quebec and the City of Drummondville to prevent virus symptoms at erlders' residences, students in schools and workers in businesses.

This will also be a way to offer psychological support services to those who need it the most, at a time when people are gradually going back ot their regular activities.

The CIUSSS wishes with this initiative to increase testing and reduce the spread in the population.

Girardin is proud to be a partner in this mobile clinic project and finds that it is a great idea. We would like to congratulate the CIUSSS for implementing this mobile lab which will lead to preventative care to citizens who need it the most.
