1966
Beginning of converting vans
The Girardin family started what is known today as Micro Bird, with van conversions and upfits.
1979
Girardin designed the first Blue Bird – Micro Bird (1st Dual rear wheels) built by Blue Bird.
1981
Plant was set-up in Cambridge, Ontario – Bus bodies integrated to vans.
1991
Plant moved from Cambridge to Drummondville specializing in building complete small bus bodies – cutaway introduction.
2005
Introduction of G5 Model – Dual rear wheels.
2009
Micro Bird Inc. joint venture with Blue Bird.
2014
Introduction of the T-Series & CT-Series – first in North America.
2015
Introduction of the commercial D-Series 25 passengers + luggage & 28 passengers.
2016
Introduction of the D-Series MD Edition – New configuration with a middle entrance door.
